Martin Luther’s great hymn, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” was not intended to be a religious battle hymn, as some suppose. It was a hymn of comfort for Luther during a time of his life that was marked with great suffering. This is what the Reformation was all about–comfort! The rediscovery of the Gospel by Luther revealed again the merciful heart of God toward sinners. Our remarkable Lutheran heritage is rooted in the profound comfort that is
ours in Jesus Christ. We want you to have that same comfort.
This year we are celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. You are invited to worship with us.
