The Resurrection of Our Lord–Easter Day 7:00 and 9:30 a.m.

Easter Window

ALLELUIA

One of the sacred words used in our church is “Alleluia.”  It literally means “Praise the Lord!”  Often the word is used frivolously, but among the faithful it is a word of joy with sincere and deep thanks to God.  His people, redeemed by Christ, cannot help but express their joy and gratitude.  Six weeks ago we said farewell to Alleluia for the season of Lent, but that changes on Easter Day.

As morning dawns this Sunday, our alleluias return to greet Jesus’ resurrection at the Sunrise Service (7:00 a.m.).  An Easter breakfast is served between 8:00 and 9:15 a.m. so that you can gather your strength to continue the celebration of Easter at the 9:30 a.m. Divine Service.  Then our alleluias and amens will voice our thanks and praise for all the Lord has accomplished for us by His death and resurrection.

You are invited to join us and be glad.
