Confirmation is a three-year program covering the fundamentals of Christian teaching, focusing on Holy Scripture and Luther’s Small Catechism. This is instruction that is intended to lay the foundation for a whole life of growing in the faith. The goal of catechesis, according to Luther, is that God’s people may “know how live, how to believe, how to pray, how to suffer, and how to die.”
Children in sixth and seventh grade classes meet only on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. Eighth grade children meet on Sunday mornings and with the pastor on Wednesdays after school at 4:00 p.m.
